Description

A counsellor's guide to working with alcohol and drug users explores some of the key skills needed to work at an individual level with people who have substance use problems. The guide assumes the reader has a basic understanding of the development of alcohol and other drug problems and already possesses basic counselling skills. Both managers and counsellors are encouraged to use this manual as a reference, an educational tool and as an aid to quality management and professional supervision.
