Description

This video shows interviews with local community members from Papunya, Central Australia, and a representative from BP Australia, about how Opal fuel was developed and introduced to remote Aboriginal communities in Central Australia.

In 2004, BP received an email from Chris Tangey, a youth worker in Papunya, asking BP to help find a solution to the petrol sniffing problem.

BP Australia responded to help find a solution which resulted in BP developing Opal fuel - a low aromatic fuel designed to help reduce the incidence of petrol sniffing in remote communities.

This video runs for 7 minute and 36 seconds.
