Description

The Continuous quality improvement tool: Aboriginal health in acute health services and area mental health services (CQI tool) was developed to support Victorian health services in the provision of culturally responsive healthcare to Aboriginal people in Victoria. The CQI tool provides a means for health services to:

Senior managers with responsibility for Aboriginal health should lead the completion of the CQI tool, with input provided by Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officers, area mental health service managers, Koori Mental Health Liaison Officers, and relevant clinical and administrative staff. It is also highly recommended that the local Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation (ACCHO) and/or Aboriginal health advisory committee are consulted when completing the tool.
