Description

This podcast includes an explanation of the causes of heart disease and how it affects the body. It also includes a message from the Heart Foundation on ways to reduce the risk factors of heart disease, and an explanation of the warning signs. It is one of a series of messages providing information about cardiovascular disease for Indigenous Australians. It runs for 1 minute and 56 seconds.

The resource was produced by the Brisbane Indigenous Media Association (BIMA) for the Stayin' strong program. The Stayin' strong messages were originally aired on Indigenous radio station, 98.9fm, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander listeners in south-east Queensland and are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
