Description

This podcast includes information on ways to prevent heart disease by reducing the associated risk factors. It also discusses the role of physical activity in reducing the risk of heart disease and provides information from the Heart Foundation on the type and amount of physical activity to do each day. It is one of a series of messages providing information related to cardiovascular disease and physical activity for Indigenous Australians. It runs for 1 minute and 35 seconds.

The resource was produced by the Brisbane Indigenous Media Association (BIMA) for the Move program. The Move messages were originally aired on Indigenous radio station, 98.9fm, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander listeners in south-east Queensland and were funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
