Description

This video is of a presentation that describes the aims and research design of a proposed research study that intends to investigate how remote Indigenous students perform on two nonverbal cognitive assessment tools, the Wechsler nonverbal ability test and the Naglieri nonverbal ability test.

The study also seeks to evaluate the extent to which various contextual factors (such as geographic remoteness and school attendance) impact on test performance.

It is anticipated that the proposed research will develop an appropriate set of norms for remote Indigenous students using the Wechsler and Naglieri tests. This information will help teaching staff to determine the appropriate educational support and goals for their students.
