Description

This handbook contains practical information to assist health workers in New South Wales to provide high-quality care to people with dementia, particularly those who experience behavioural and psychological symptoms associated with dementia (BPSD). As people with dementia and BPSD are cared for in a variety of settings, this handbook is appropriate for health workers from a diverse range of disciplines and settings (for example, emergency department staff and residential aged care staff).

The handbook is composed of nine chapters, covering the following topics:

Included at the end of each chapter are references and further resources. A bibliography and list of website resources can also be found at the end of the handbook.
