Description

This leaflet has been developed for Aboriginal people who provide care for an older person or someone with a serious illness or disability. It provides information on how to feel good and keep well while providing ongoing care for a family member or friend. The leaflet also includes a list of organisations that provide information and support services for Aboriginal carers.

When to use this resource

This leaflet is for Aboriginal people who provide ongoing care to someone who is elderly, or who has a serious illness or disability. Carers should use the information in the leaflet to learn different ways they can take care of themselves while caring for others. Health practitioners who have contact with carers should pass on this leaflet to their clients.
