This factsheet was developed to provide information on breast screening services to women living in rural areas of Western Australia (WA). BreastScreen WA has four mobile breast screening services visiting about 100 rural towns in WA every two years. Details on the Patient Assisted Travel Scheme are also provided, which is designed to provide support for rural residents to access essential specialist medical care, which includes BreastScreen WA Breast Assessment Centres.
