Care for Kids’ Ears kit for parents and carers (2011)

Description

The Care for kids' ears resources for parents and carers aim to deliver positive and consistent ear health messages to young children (up to year two).

The resources recommended for parents and carers are:

• a parent and carers brochure on key ear health messages
• a set of memory cards to be used as a fun interactive activity
• colouring-in and dot-to-dot sheets
• a photobook
• an activity book featuring the characters of Kathy and Ernie.

The resource materials are available to download from the Care for kids' ears website and hard copies of the resource materials can be requested using an online order form.

The Care for kids' ears website is an additional online resource and includes the Strong hearing, strong start: Care for kids' ears health promotion video. The resources are part of a campaign designed and produced by the Australian Government to increase awareness of ear disease and hearing loss in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
