This documentary is part of the Improving Indigenous eye health project by the Rural Health Education Foundation. The program discusses different eye health diseases as well as the continuum of eye care that includes prevention, early detection, treatment and rehabilitation. Specific models of care are featured in case studies.
The documentary was first broadcast on the foundation's satellite network on Tuesday 26 July 2011 and is now available as a DVD resource. It is accredited for continuing professional development (CPD)/continuing professional education (CPE) by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, the Royal College of Nursing Australia and the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Optometrists Association Australia.
