Description

The Breakfast story book is about a community initiative at the Warburton Ranges Community in WA.

Over 30 Ngaanyatjarra ladies have been involved at Warburton Remote School since November 2008, making a healthy breakfast for 15-30 kids each day, in an attempt to improve school attendance and give the kids a healthy start to the day.

The Breakfast story book was developed by the women using photos of their activities and early reading words from the Salisbury List.

Many other activities have grown from the breakfast club, including a catering service and literature materials based on topics Ngaanyatjarra children identify with.
