Description

These guidelines are issued to protect public health, improve drinking water quality and facilitate the use of the current version of the Australian drinking water guidelines in Tasmania (Tas).

The guidelines are designed to improve the management of risks posed to drinking water quality from the point of collection to the consumer. The guidelines contain legally enforceable requirements, recommendations and information.

Please note that these guidelines do not apply to packaged water, or private household drinking water supply systems.
