Description

This 52 minute DVD has been designed for health professionals to increase their awareness of the prevalence of chronic disease among Indigenous people. Specific topics of focus include:

• the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adult health check
• early detection of chronic disease
• risk factor management
• the importance of a systematic approach to primary health care in relation to chronic disease (focusing on the role of finger prick testing and chronic disease self management programs).
