This report was developed for people who have recently lost someone to suicide or through another sudden and unexpected death. The report includes 14 chapters which provide information on a range of topics to help people through this difficult and sensitive time. Some of the chapter topics include:
This report is not an Indigenous specific resource but does include a chapter on grief in Aboriginal culture. A Consumer Reference Group made up of people bereaved by suicide helped to develop the information in this report.

The report includes practical information on how to deal with this type of loss and contact information of services that can help. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will also find the information in this report useful with a chapter focusing on grieving Aboriginal way. Health practitioners who have contact with people who have lost friends and family to suicide should pass this report on to their clients.
