Description

The Alice Springs vegie garden companion: a handbook for growing food in arid Australia (second edition) has been produced as part of a grant from the Northern Territory Government for Gardens for food projects which promote practical steps the community can take to adapt to climate change. The aim of the handbook is to encourage and assist people to grow their own food and develop sustainable food systems in the arid climate of Alice Springs. The second edition has been expanded to include a section on bush foods, information for less experienced gardeners, and more.
