This leaflet on medicines has been developed for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It seeks to raise awareness about medicines for mental health issues by providing information on the following:

what can medicines do
do all medicines do the same thing
can medicines have problems
ways to help
where to go for help.

The leaflet includes artwork and wording that is relevant and appealing to young people.

When to use this resource

The information in this leaflet would be helpful for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may be taking medicine for a mental health issue. The leaflet should be made available in places visited by young people, and health workers could pass on the leaflet to their young clients.
