These guidelines present the current best evidence for the screening, prognosis, diagnosis, management and prevention of glaucoma. Their purpose is to inform practice for Australian health care providers, particularly those utilising a multi-disciplinary team approach. Information is provided primarily for Australian primary health care providers; and also for secondary health care providers.
The systematic review underpinning these guidelines was completed in September 2008 and public consultation occurred during October and November 2009. It is likely that the literature will be revisited in 2011.
