Description

This brochure was designed for grandparents to outline the healthy food and drinks their infant and growing grandchildren should have as part of a healthy diet. It covers breastfeeding, infant formulas, juices and sugary drinks, introducing solids, and healthy food and drink choices for growing children. It includes colourful illustrations and clear wording which makes it easy for all to understand.

When to use this resource

This resource is part of the Growing strong: feeding you and your baby set of resources developed by Queensland Health to help health staff talk with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families about nutrition for mothers, babies and young children. It has been developed especially for grandparents. The brochure could be left for viewing in a community or health centre or made available for grandparents to take home.
