Environmental health workers online resource manual (ehWORM) (2009)

Description

This online resource for Environmental Health Workers is designed to support EHW employed by the local councils of Indigenous communities in Queensland.

It provides information on six key topics:

• animal management
• vermin and vector control
• food safety
• hygiene
• waste management
• how to ensure the local community has safe drinking water

To help EHW find information quickly, the six key topics are broken into sections, such as:

• legislation
• the role of the local council
• the role of the EHW
• the role of the community
• community awareness campaigns
• the agencies that develop policy on the topic
• agencies that can be contacted for more information or support
