Chopped Liver is a play written by Kamarra Bell-Wykes and presented by Ilbijerri Theatre that seeks to raise awareness about hepatitis C in the Indigenous community. The play uses comedy to follow the journey of two characters, Lynne and Jim, as they progress through life with hepatitis C. The issues explored in the play include: needle use and tattooing; attitudes; discrimination; relationships; peer groups; community attitudes; bullying and rejection; and myth busting.
Chopped Liver was first performed in November 2006. It has been designed to be performed in non-theatre spaces, with shows taking place in community, school, and prison settings. The play runs for 50 minutes and is appropriate for people aged 16 years and older.
