Description

This factsheet provides information on suicide among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It has been developed to inform service providers about the occurrence of suicide in the Indigenous population, as well as cultural differences in communication and understandings of health.

Some of the topics covered include:

• suicide prevention interventions in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
• communication.
