The Koori mental health project seeks to make child and adolescent mental health services more accessible for Koori kids, young people, and their families. The project acknowledges the many barriers Koori families encounter when accessing mainstream mental health services and therefore endeavours to remove such barriers by creating a culturally safe place for Koori families.
The aims of the Koori mental health project are as follows:
The Koori mental health project is an initiative of RCHMHS and was developed in consultation with the Koori Kids Mental Health Network and the Koori Adolescent Mental Health Unit of the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service.
