An education intervention for childhood asthma by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers: a randomised controlled trial

 

Overview

This project assessed the outcomes of an education intervention for Indigenous children (aged 1-17 years) conducted by Australian Indigenous health workers in the Torres Strait region of Australia. The outcomes measured were:

The project results show that improvements in some asthma outcomes is possible with the use of a community based asthma education program.
