Withdrawal program (Council for Aboriginal Alcohol Program Services)

Overview

The Withdrawal program, delivered through the Council for Aboriginal Alcohol Program Services Inc. (CAAPS), offers a residential withdrawal service for people who are physically, socially and emotionally dependent on drugs.

The withdrawal process is carefully planned and managed by a nurse in liaison with the Darwin Withdrawal Services and the Northern Territory Government's Alcohol and Other Drugs sector to ensure best practise treatment is provided.

Upon completion of the withdrawal process, clients are encouraged to participate in the 12-week Healthy Families Program also offered through CAAPS.
