Overview

With support of BHP Billiton, Breast Cancer Care WA established an Indigenous Program in 2003 to improve education and support available to Indigenous women with breast cancer in Western Australia. The program is staffed by a full time Indigenous Program Coordinator, who conducts free information workshops and works with Indigenous health workers to enhance the provision of culturally appropriate information and support to Indigenous women. Support services including emotional, practical and financial assistance, breast care nurses and counsellors, all free of charge.
