The aim of this project was to support mainstream health providers in providing culturally appropriate palliative care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Funded by the Commonwealth Government as part of the National palliative care program, this program was the result of recommendations made in the National Indigenous palliative care needs study. The Department of Health and Ageing and Boab Health Services in Broome engaged Inception Strategies to develop this poster on palliative care. The poster was produced as part of the National Indigenous palliative care project, and aims to highlight the importance of advanced care planning with Indigenous clients. The concept for this poster was developed during a comic book workshop with Aboriginal women at Boab Health Services, the end product of which will be released in 2012.
