Intervention model with Indigenous Australians for non Indigenous counsellors

Overview

This project focused on the issues relevant to the successful implementation of mental health intervention programs by non Indigenous counsellors working with Indigenous people. Issues of cultural competence, trust and practical assistance have been identified as affecting the ability of health workers to address the mental health issues found in Aboriginal communities.
