YSAS residential withdrawal

 

Overview

YSAS residential withdrawal service provides young people between 12 - 21 years with intensive support to undergo respite or withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drug (AOD) use in Fitzroy, Victoria. The facility has 8 beds for a stay of up to 14 days.

The program works on a relationship-based practice to assist clients identify pathways out of problematic AOD use. The units are staffed by youth AOD workers with supervised medical care from GPs and nurses from YSAS's Primary Health Service. There are regular therapeutic and recreational activities including:

YSAS residential withdrawal have an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander program within the residential facility.
