Ngwala Willumbong Alcohol and Other Drugs Services

 

Overview

Ngwala Willumbong is an Aboriginal community controlled organisation in Victoria that aims to provide specialist alcohol and drug (AOD) residential rehabilitation and outreach support to meet the needs of Aboriginal people and their families.
Ngwala operate three residential Recovery Centres for men and women. The Centres offer a sixteen week highly structured residential program and include:

A range of outreach programs are offered that aim to empower community members and their families through direct assistance. These include:

The intention of the outreach services is to assist Aboriginal people who are able to maintain themselves in the community, while receiving help from Ngwala Willumbong programs. The outreach services act as a referral point for Aboriginal people seeking to use Ngwala Willumbong rehabilitation services and access mainstream specialist AOD detoxification services.
