Reconnect.. restore.. reconstruct

 

Overview

The Reconnect.. restore.. reconstruct program provides social and emotional wellbeing support to survivors of the Kinchela Boys' Home (KBH), New South Wales, who were forcibly removed from their families as young boys and sent to KBH.

The program was established in 2002 by a group of KBH survivors with the primary focus of assisting survivors in the process of self-healing through the provision of:

An additional focus of the program is to raise awareness of the Stolen generations amongst the wider community, including non-Indigenous Australians.

Reconnect.. restore.. reconstruct is an initiative of the Kinchela Boys' Home Aboriginal Corporation and is supported by Caritas Australia.
