Food for Alice

Overview

The Food for Alice project is a local food distribution project that buys and sells local food in the Alice Springs region, Northern Territory (NT), advocating for sustainable and ethical local food.

The project, run by desertSMART COOLmob, aims to bring the local community together to create choices about where their food comes from, and to source higher quality food from local, ethical suppliers.

The program has four main components:

The majority of the produce comes from private gardens or small scale producers, and is available for sale fortnightly.
