Fetal alcohol syndrome women's project

Overview

Broome Aboriginal Media created a media promotions strategy incorporating television and radio adverts focused on Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD). This is aimed to raise awareness in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Kimberley community, in Western Australia, of the preventative measures and outcomes of FASD.

The series of TV and radio commercials used a peer-to-peer approach that incorporated the language of the region, and aimed to assist in the prevention of FASD, and raise awareness of people affected by FASD and the impact it has on lives.
