Indigenous access program

 

Overview

This program aims to improve the health of Indigenous Australians through providing better access to Medicare healthcare services.

The program increases healthcare access through a network of Medicare Liaison Officers who have a diverse range of culturally appropriate skills and expertise. The officers work closely with Indigenous communities, Aboriginal Medical Services and other health service providers, and their key responsibilities are to:
