Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mediation

 

Overview

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mediation program provides free mediation and conflict management services aimed at improving the safety and harmony in Indigenous communities. This voluntary program is run by the Community Justice Centre of New South Wales and  targets individual, group and community responses to and resolution of conflict within the community. It is not part of the court system. 

The service provides trained Indigenous and non-Indigenous mediators to help resolve a wide range of disputes within the community including:
