Boodjari yorgas family care program

 

Overview

The Boodjari yorgas (Nyoongar for pregnant women) family care program is run by the Armadale Health Service and provides holistic maternity and postnatal care services in conjunction with the mainstream maternity unit.

Boodjari yorgas family care staff includes midwives, an Aboriginal Health Officer and grandmother liaisons. The staff provide consistent contact with their clients throughout their pregnancies, including:
