Boodjari Yorgas Family Care Program

 

Overview

The Armadale Health Service Boodjari Yorgas (Nyoongar for pregnant women) Family Care Program provides holistic and culturally appropriate maternity and postnatal care services for Aboriginal mothers.

Boodjari Yorgas Family Care Program staff include midwives, an Aboriginal health officer and grandmother liaisons. The staff provide consistent contact with their clients throughout their pregnancies in conjunction with the hospital's mainstream maternity services, including:
