Aboriginal family visits program

 

Overview

The Victorian Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders (VACRO) Aboriginal family visits program is designed to assist the families of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoners to visit their family members in prison. The program is intended for families that have to travel significant distances between their home and prison and recognises the importance of maintaining the prisoner's relationships with their family and community. 'Family' includes anyone on a prisoner's visits list.
