Hope, opportunity, purpose, education and employment (HOPE)

Overview

The purpose of this project was to provide psychological and coordination services to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in the Mildura area of Victoria who are at risk of suicide and self-harm.

The project addressed the complex interface between education and anti-social behaviour, and provided opportunities to develop healthy lifestyle behaviours through sport and connection to the primary health care system.

This project was an initiative of the Mildura Aboriginal Corporation (now Mallee District Aboriginal Health Services).
