Overview

Give up smokes for good is a campaign that supports Indigenous people in South Australia to quit smoking. The campaign is facilitated through Quit SA and Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia, and aims to help Indigenous South Australians become healthier through simple actions like having smoke-free homes and cars.

The campaign contains health promotion materials and information for both the public and organisations on:

• the dangers of smoking and second-hand smoke
• ways to give up smoking
• how to stay tobacco-free
• where to get support
• how to help others
• courses and resources
• becoming a smoke-free organisation.

The campaign uses advertising, community events, and local ambassadors to promote its message.
