talk, respect AND connect (trAc)

Overview

The talk, respect AND connect (trAc) resource was originally developed by the New South Wales (NSW) Department of Education and Training for teachers in NSW but can also be used by anyone working in the area of drug education with Aboriginal students. The resource is an interactive web tool that guides teachers through a process for facilitating Aboriginal community partnerships, in order to improve Aboriginal student engagement in drug education. Information on key understandings and protocols when working with Indigenous people is available for users to access, which helps impart a working knowledge of the history and culture of local Aboriginal schools and communities. Users are able to create their own 'plans' to aid their teaching process.
