MacDonnell Shire Council community and agency services
Overview
The MacDonnell Shire Council delivers a number of community and agency services across the MacDonnell Shire in the Northern Territory, on behalf of various Commonwealth and Territory Government agencies.
Services provided include:
- aged care
- community based support services for the frail elderly and people with disabilities are available in the following communities:
- Amoonguna
- Utju/Areyonga
- Apatula/Finke
- Kaltukatjara/Docker River
- Ikuntji/Haasts Bluff
- Imanpa
- Ntaria/Hermannsburg
- Warumpi/Papunya
- Tapatjatjaka/Titjikala
- youth development
- the Youth development program operates in:
- Amoonguna
- Ikuntji (Haasts Bluff)
- Ltentye Apurte (Santa Teresa)
- Ntaria (Hermannsburg)
- Titjikala
- Utju (Areyonga)
- Walungurru (Kintore)
- Warumpi (Papunya)
- Watiyawanu (Mt Liebig)
- children's services
- nine early childhood Indigenous services are currently operating in remote NT communities
- community safety
- there are currently 12 operational night patrol services in the communities of:
- Kintore
- Papunya
- Mt Liebig
- Ikuntji
- Areyonga
- Hermannsburg
- Amooguna
- Santa Teresa
- Titjikala
- Finke
- Imanpa
- Docker River.
