The national Swap it, don't stop it campaign funded through the National partnership agreement on preventive health ran from March 2011 to March 2013. Each state and territory was provided with funding to deliver activities at the local level which would reinforce and extend the campaign.
Swap it don't stop it formed phase two of the Measure up campaign. The campaign built on the awareness created by the Measure Up campaign and showed people how they can make small lifestyle changes to improve their health. The campaign focussed on promoting the simple, everyday changes people can make to get them on their way to a healthier lifestyle without losing all the things they love.

The Australia National Preventive Health Agency (ANPHA), whose essential functions have been transferred to the Department of Health, launched Shape up Australia in February 2013 to follow on from Swap it, don't stop it.
