Overview

Foundations for success provides educators with a framework for planning, implementing and reflecting on a quality early learning program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children of pre-school age in Queensland. Research has established the importance of the early years in laying the foundation for children's success in schooling and in later life.

A quality early learning program in Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities:

• reinforces personal and cultural identities
• connects with families and communities
• provides the foundations for children's successful learning.

The DVD was produced as part of this program and is available to early childhood educations, principals and other education professionals.
