Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Network (ADAN)

 

Description

The Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Network (ADAN) was established in May 2003 to help progress some of the key recommendations of the draft New South Wales (NSW) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Substance Misuse Plan. The ADAN leadership group is a consultative group designed to address Aboriginal alcohol and other drug issues across NSW. Leadership members include Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Workers working in:

These two booklets contain information for Aboriginal teenagers and parents about the risks associated with binge drinking and tips for having a safe and enjoyable night when alcohol is around.

Both booklets were designed for use in discussion groups and counselling and also for display in attractive boxes in Aboriginal health, drug and alcohol, youth and community services.
