Tullawon Health Service Inc.

 

Description

Tullawon Health Service Inc. was established in 1984 as an Aboriginal community controlled health service. Tullawon Health Service Inc. is based at Yalata, a community off the Eyre Highway in South Australia, approximately 200kms west of Ceduna. The organisation delivers a full primary health care service focusing on mothers and babies health, chronic disease, and a range of other programs. A medical director visits regularly with a team of doctors and health practitioners, and is supported by visits from the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The organisation also employs a mental health registered nurse with aims to address psychiatric issues and provide better support for health promotion, alcohol and other drug use, smoking and counselling programs.
