Tasmanian Council on AIDS, Hepatitis & Related Diseases (TasCAHRD)

 

Description

The Tasmanian Council on AIDS, Hepatitis & Related Diseases (TasCAHRD) aims to minimise the impact of HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C in the community. To achieve this vision, TasCAHRD works to serve the needs of people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS or hepatitis C and also those at risk of HIV or hepatitis C (for example, people who inject drugs). TasCAHRD also provides support to other organisations to improve their response to HIV and hepatitis issues.

The types of services provided by TasCAHRD include:

TasCAHRD are also involved in the Drama downunder campaign which is a nation-wide campaign that was developed to address the high rates of sexually transmissible infections (STIs) among gay men in Australia.
