Hepatitis SA

 

Description

Hepatitis SA (formerly Hepatitis C Council of South Australia) is a community-based organisation providing information and services to South Australians affected by viral hepatitis. This organisation works to bring about a society that cares for the health and well-being of people affected by hepatitis and a society which understands the link between health and social justice.

Hepatitis SA provides information and support to people affected by hepatitis and workers in the sector. They lead the community response to hepatitis by participating in a range of government and community services reference groups. All services provided are free. On-going activities include:

Hepatitis SA also engage in one-off projects that provide opportunities for targeted communities to learn about hepatitis B and hepatitis C, as well as raise the profile of hepatitis in the wider community.

This organisation is funded through SA Health and some one-off grants from other sources.
