International Association for the Study of Obesity (IASO)

 

Description

The International Association for the Study of Obesity (IASO) is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve global health by promoting the understanding of obesity and weight-related diseases through scientific research and dialogue, whilst encouraging the development of effective policies for their prevention and management

As a non-government organisation, IASO collaborates with the World Health Organisation and other NGOs including the International Diabetes Foundation, the World Heart Federation, the International Union of Nutritional Sciences, the International Paediatric Association and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity.
