Healthway

 

Description

Healthway (the Western Australian Health Promotion Foundation) was established in 1991 is a health promotion foundation, with a legistated obligation to promote good health and encourage healthy lifestyles. Healthway's Health Promotion Program provides grants to organisations engaged in health promotion. Their aim is for health promotion organisations and community groups to apply for grants to fund new approaches to health promotion and illness prevention that will change community attitudes and behaviour and create environments in which good health is encouraged. Healthways fulfils this obligation by:

Healthway's Strategic Plan 2012-2017 identified the health of Indigenous people as an area of special focus and high priority.
