Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)

Description

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is Australia's official statistical organisation and is committed to a better informed nation. It serves the role of providing the government, businesses and citizens with official statistics about Australia. Official statistics highlight the nature and extent of government activity in every area of public policy, allowing public policies and actions to be assessed. It also provides a strategic resource for businesses and the wider community in general planning and research activities. The ABS strives to remain relevant to national needs by collecting the right sort of data, processing it to world-leading standards and delivering assessed information to clients.
